01 / Listen

Hear the difference.

Talk is cheap; playback isn't. Each demo switches between the raw session as it arrived and the finished mix, at the exact same moment of the song. Press play, then flip the switch.

02 / Services

What I do.

Three core services, explained in plain language. Not sure what your song needs? Send your rough mix and I'll tell you honestly.

S/01

Mixing

Balance, tone and space. Your recorded tracks arrive as separate stems; they leave as one cohesive, emotional record. Includes level balancing, EQ, compression, automation, effects (reverb, delay, saturation), standard vocal cleanup and treatment, and session organisation, for up to 40 stems per song. Extensive tuning, timing correction or heavy vocal editing is quoted separately, so the price you see stays honest.

S/02

Mastering

The final polish. Your finished stereo mix, optimized for streaming platforms and loud systems alike: loudness, tonal balance, stereo enhancement and careful quality control, delivered in the formats you need for release.

S/03

Mix + Master

One engineer, start to finish. The full journey from raw stems to release-ready master with one consistent vision and a single point of contact. The complete package, and the best value.

S/04

Custom projects

EPs, albums, live sets, unusual sessions, tight deadlines. Tell me what you're making and I'll put together a package and a fixed quote that fits it (no cookie-cutter pricing). One-to-one mix consultations and feedback sessions are also available on request.

05 / About

Behind the faders.

I'm Dan Donica, a mix engineer focused on creating records that feel clear, powerful and complete.

For more than a decade, I've studied what makes a mix connect: the relationship between the vocal and the production, the control of energy and dynamics, the weight of the low end, and the details that hold attention from beginning to end.

My approach is precise but never mechanical. I don't impose a sound on the music. I identify what already makes the record distinctive, then build the mix around it, bringing the emotion forward, strengthening the impact and making every element feel intentional.

The goal is a finished record: one that translates across systems, supports the artist's identity and feels convincing from the first listen.

Every project receives focused attention, direct communication and a clear process from delivery to final approval.

06 / FAQ

Questions, answered.

How many revisions are included?+

Mixing includes 3 revision rounds and mastering includes 2. Mix + Master includes 3 rounds counted across the whole project, not per stage. A "round" is one consolidated list of changes: take your time, gather notes from your bandmates, and send them together. Extra rounds are €59 on mix projects and €39 on mastering, but most projects never need them.

How long does it take?+

Typically 5–7 business days for a first mix and 48–72 hours for a master. Your exact delivery date is confirmed with your quote, and the clock starts when I've received both your deposit and correctly prepared files. Need it faster? Rush delivery (72h) is available at +40%, subject to availability.

What files should I send?+

WAV or AIFF stems, 24-bit, all exported from the very start of the session so they line up, clearly labelled, with no processing on your master bus. Include your rough mix and 1–3 reference tracks. The full step-by-step guide is on the File Preparation page, and if anything's unclear, just ask before exporting.

Can I send reference tracks?+

Please do: they're the fastest way to align on a direction. Send 1–3 songs with a short note on what you love about each (the vocal sound, the low end, the overall vibe). References guide taste; your song keeps its own identity.

What if the first mix doesn't convince me?+

That's what revisions are for, and it's a normal part of the process. You'll get a streaming preview, you send precise notes, I refine, up to three rounds. If we're fundamentally misaligned on direction, we talk before any more work happens. You approve the mix before final delivery, and the balance is only due once you do.

Are mixing and mastering included together?+

They're separate crafts: mixing balances your individual tracks into one record; mastering polishes that record for release. The Mix + Master package bundles both with one consistent vision. Prefer to master elsewhere? No problem: I'll deliver a headroom version ready for any mastering engineer.

How does payment work?+

Simply and personally. Once you approve your fixed quote, payment instructions arrive privately by email. Mix projects book with a 50% deposit; the balance is due on your approval, before final files are delivered. Mastering-only orders are paid in full to book. No payment ever happens before we've agreed on every detail.

Can I get a custom quote?+

Absolutely. EPs, albums, very large sessions (60+ stems), unusual formats or tight timelines all get a tailored package. Send the project form and you'll have a fixed quote within 24–48 hours. Asking costs nothing.

Who owns the music?+

You do: 100%, always. You keep every right to your songs and recordings. A "Mixed by Dan Donica" credit where credits are customary is appreciated, and your track only ever appears in my portfolio with your written permission.

Where are you based?+

The studio is fully online and works with artists worldwide. Files, previews, revision notes and delivery all happen remotely; wherever you are, we're in the same room.
